Itinerary
Our drivers will pick you up from the Guwahati Airport or Railway Station. Travel by car to Shillong, which is around 100 kilometers from Guwahati. Visit Barapani View Point at Umiam Lake on the way; the breathtaking scenery will undoubtedly revive you. Proceed to Shillong, the Scotland of the East, after a brief stop. You will later engage in some light touring, seeing the Glass Mosque, Lady Hydari Park, Ward's Lake, Cathedral Church, and Shillong Golf Course. Take in the city's nocturnal splendor as well. After checking into the hotel, relax in the spot we've designated.
You'll be taken by car to the second-biggest river island in Asia, Nongkhum Island. When you get to River Island, you may explore the settlements of Mawthar, Mawduh, and Lawse by strolling along the sandy shore. See the two waterfalls, Weina Falls and Langshiang Falls, which are encircled by the Namilang and Phanilang main rivers. Try your hand at fishing in a few different pools to get a varied fishing experience. You will be returned to Shillong for an overnight stay following your day of exploration.
After breakfast, go to Cherrapunjee, which is the second-wettest location after Mawsynram. See the Seven Sisters Falls, a symbol of the seven states of the Northeast, Mawkdok Dympep Valley, and Lime Stone Cave (also known as Mawsmai Cave) on the way. Visit Ramakrishna Ashram, Eco Park, Wah Kaba Falls, and Nohkalikai Falls as well. Take your cab back to Shillong in the evening.
You will depart for Mawsynram, which is around 58 kilometers from Shillong, on the final day of your journey, following an early and active breakfast. The "Wettest place on Earth" is a little community surrounded by lush greenery that receives the most rainfall globally. Cover locations like as the Sacred Forest, which is said to be a sacred entity, and Mawjymbuin Cave, where you can observe a large stalagmite shaped like a Shiva Linga. Remember that the forest is sacred and that you are not allowed to remove, destroy, or steal anything from it. You will be driven back to Shillong after all of this.
With all the memories of Meghalaya's wettest locations, you will be transported to your dropping point at Shillong Airport, Guwahati Airport, or Guwahati Railway Station after breakfast.
