Itinerary
Our representative will meet you at the airport, take you to the Maa Kamakhya Temple, and then drive you straight to Shillong. After checking into the hotel upon arrival and taking a little break, we will go to Lady Hydra Park and Wards Lake. Spend the night in the hotel.
We will visit the Don Bosco Museum in the morning after breakfast. Known as Asia's biggest Museum of Indigenous Cultures, it is home to the exquisite customs and culture of Northeast India. The Mawphlang Sacred Forest is located close to Mawphlang hamlet in the East Khasi Hills and has its origins in ancient religious beliefs that revere woods as sacred beings. Laitlum: The grand canyon in the northeast Laitlum Canyons is a little-visited location in the Meghalayan mountains. Laitlum means 'end of hills' in translation, and this breathtakingly picturesque mountaintop seems to live up to its name. Spend the night in the hotel.
Following breakfast in the morning, we will go to Cherapunjee. We'll stop at Elephant Falls on way. Cherapunjee is striking due to its deep canyons and cascading waterfalls. You'll be treated to breathtaking vistas of Bangladesh's lowlands. Magnificent Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as Mawsmai Falls), Dainthlen Falls, Nohkailikai Falls (the fourth-highest in the world), and several more waterfalls are all close to the town. After checking into the hotel and taking a little break, proceed to the Mawsmai Cave, which is located 6 km south of the Cherrapunjee market and faces the border with Bangladesh. Visit Thangkharang Park as well. Spend the night at the hotel.
Drive to Mawllynong town in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya in the morning after breakfast. Known as "God's own garden," Mawllynong Village was named the cleanest hamlet in Asia in 2003. In 2003, the hamlet was named the cleanest in Asia, and in 2005, it was named the cleanest in India. Because the hamlet is situated on the Indo-Bangla border, it also provides an amazing view of the Bangladeshi plains. Drive in the afternoon to Dawki. Sail on the Umngot River, which has the purest river water ever, and take in the beauty of Jaflong Point. Afterwards, head back to Shillong. Spend the night at the hotel
We will visit the Cathedral Catholic Church in the morning after breakfast before moving on to Guwahati. After arriving, we will visit Srimanta Shankardev Kalakshetra. Later in the evening, you can have an Alfresco Grand Sunset Cruise on the Brahmaputra River (4:00–5:00 pm). Spend the night in the hotel.
We will visit Umananda Temple, the world's smallest river island, in the morning after breakfast. We will drop you off to the railway station or airport in Guwahati later on.
